Photography Tour: Orlando Wetlands Park

$350.00

The Orlando Wetlands are an amazing nature spot just east of downtown Orlando, with native plants, birds, turtles, and even a small red fox now calling it home. But, it’s not just any old swamp – these wetlands have an urban twist!

This unique area features several man-made ponds that double as a public park and nature reserve all in one. And thanks to over 250 different species of plants now thriving here, visitors can enjoy the scenic beauty no matter the time of year.

The tours generally begin at sunrise and last for approximately four hours. Attendees will be invited to a conference call prior to the event where more details will be provided.

The difficulty of this tour is moderate. There is a short distance walking over semi-improved surfaces, and some walking on beach sand. Insects should be low to moderate. The temperature should be moderate at this time of year. Close-toed shoes and comfortable walking clothes are recommended. Snacks and drinks will be provided.

Some unique species are in great numbers at the wetlands such as my favorite, the Roseate Spoonbills, all the key wintering ducks and great numbers of shore birds, Rails, Purple and Common Gallinules. There is always a surprise at this site in the winter.
